The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance of Northwest Florida State College, also known as the CBA, was first created by concerned citizens along with representatives from local, state, and federal agencies to address environmental quality and economic development along the Emerald Coast. Over 20 years later the CBA has become well-established in the Okaloosa-Walton area for their work educating the public on local resources and working with government agencies on issues of ecological concern. The CBA’s overarching goal is to promote swimmable, fishable waterways and to protect our precious marine ecosystems for generations to come. Through its four focus areas of education, restoration, monitoring, and research the CBA reaches visitors, locals, youths, and retirees. Join us to find out how you can get involved!
